For those of you that remember, Dr. Benjamin Carson spoke at the 8th annual HFMA Region 11 Healthcare Symposium at Caesars Palace in January 2006. I was very interested to hear his stories about healthcare and was impressed by his work as a pediatric neurosurgeon. Thinking about Dr. Carson’s accomplishments led me to think about our chapter.
